How does Artec T3AP - T work with TV
Guide enable devices (DTV and PVR....)?
|
|
Please use Advanced Option from Artec T3AP - T manual from page 16. You have
to have G-Link cable and good DTV antenna to translate TV-Guide data into TV
Guide enable devices.

How long will TV-Guide data be
populated into your TV-Guide device?
|
|
With good DTV antenna, it will take 24 hours (one day) through 72 hours (3
days). The better signal quality will shorter time to populate TV-Guide data
into your system. We need DTV signal strength over 60% from Artec T3AP-T
converter box. If your DTV signal strength less than 50%, it may not receive
TV-guide data correctly. Because error rate is very high, TV-Guide device
will not accept TV-Guide data.

I can receive DTV program through Artec
T3AP-T for most of channel. But it will not receive TV-Guide data from DTV
antenna?
|
|
You have to make sure your Antenna can receive all VHF and UHF DTV
stations, only one DTV station from your local area will broadcast TV-
Guide data into air wave. If you miss that station, you will not be able to
receive TV-Guide data.

How do I found what digital TV reception I get in my area?
|
|
The number of Digital TV channels varies
greatly with in each local area, so it is best to look up your available
channels by visiting special websites, such as:
http://www.titantv.com
http://www.antennaweb.org
http://www.tvguide.com
In addition, you can also find excellent local information from performing
searches on the internet. Due to the proliferation of DTV channels, it is
difficult to get the latest information from newspapers or other printed
sources. In addition, the number of channels you receive depends on your
physical location, your antenna and the location of the broadcast antenna.
Broadcast television signals are line of sight , which means the best
signals are received by pointing directly at transmitter. Buildings,
mountains and other obstructions will affect the quality of the signal you
receive.

Poor video quality (Mosaic) or flickering? |
It's a result of a poor broadcast signal.
1. Try to rotate the antenna to a difference direction.
2. Refer above question to check the digital TV reception in your area.
Not all broadcasters are
currently broadcasting a digital signal and the source of the digital signal
may move at any time. Go to
www.antennaweb.org or contact
your local broadcaster to find out which channels in your area are
broadcasting a digital signal.
If you are not able to receive a digital TV signal for any of your local
channels and you see "No Signal" message on your screen, it is possible that
you do not have the correct over-the-air antenna to receive a digital signal
or are out of range for digital broadcasts. Go to
www.antennaweb.org for more information on which over-the-air
antenna is best for your area or visit your nearest electronics retailer.
If you are not able to receive a digital TV signal for some of your local
channels you may simply need to adjust your over-the-air antenna or get an
over-the-air antenna that is optimized for your area. Go to
www.antennaweb.org for more information on which over-the-air
antenna is correct for your area or visit our nearest electronics retailer.

Do I need an antenna to receive free Digital television signals? |
|
Yes. Digital TV is just like old-fashioned Analog TV,
only better. You still need an antenna to get the signal. Just about any
antenna will do, but an antenna designed for Digital TV is better. While
some antennas are better than others, it also depends on where you live.

|
Can I use my existing indoor antenna? |
|
Yes, but it may not give you the best results. Most
likely, your existing antenna was designed for analog television and is not
designed specifically for digital television.
Top |
|
Can I use my existing outdoor antenna? |
|
Yes. This will be a much better antenna and provide you
with a better digital television signal.
